When missions and visions align, providing assistance is the natural response. The Junior League of the Lehigh Valley has always admired the hard work and dedication of our community partners at the Third Street Alliance for Women and Children; there is no exception in how they’ve continued to work tirelessly to provide support, shelter, and services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Third Street Alliance serves one of our community’s most vulnerable populations: women who are victims of domestic violence; a group that undeniably faced significant challenges during the pandemic. Needless to say, both missions underlying core values are empowering women and children.
The Junior League of the Lehigh Valley wanted to do something more to help women and children live and learn throughout our nation’s and community’s most difficult time. We are excited to announce our $2,000 donation to the Third Street Alliance. The Junior League of the Lehigh Valley is committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
