The American Girl Fashion Show is a fun-filled afternoon for girls and their families, friends and favorite dolls! Celebrate the experience of being a girl, whether yesterday or today, through a colorful presentation of historical and contemporary fashions. Enjoy elegant refreshments, enter to win prizes and learn how clothing has changed over the years to reflect history, culture and girls' individual styles.
The American Girl Fashion Show presented by the Junior League of the Lehigh Valley will benefit the Junior League of the Lehigh Valley and its children’s projects. To learn more about the Junior League of the Lehigh Valley.
The American Girl fashion show dates and times are:
§ Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 10AM, 2PM and 6PM
§ Sunday, March 6, 2011 at 1PM
Tickets go on sale December 15th, 2010
The Junior League of the Lehigh Valley’s American Girl Fashion Show is held in the Wood Dining Room at Iacocca Hall at Lehigh University’s Mountaintop Campus.
The show will last approximately 2 hours with an intermission featuring our V.I.P. Guest Models!
We will be serving "tea-party food" and beverages (recent menus featured fruit parfaits, tea sandwiches, and jumbo cupcakes). The Saturday at 6PM show will feature dinner food (TBD).
We encourage little girls to bring their dolls and wear their favorite American Girl clothing or "tea-party" outfit!
BE A PART OF THE SHOW – If your girl would like to take part in the fashion show, there are two ways for her to do so:
§ Be a model: Your girl can be one of our American Girl models and model historical, Just Like You or Bitty Baby outfits during the show. Models must be either size 6X or 10. Please complete the Model Application and Release Form and attend the Model Call on Saturday November 6th at the JLLV headquarters.
§ Be a VIP Guest: As a VIP Guest, your girl (and her doll) can walk the runway and have her bio read during intermission! Please read and complete the Guest Model Application.
